Springfield, IL 4/10/09

We went to Springfield, IL looking for Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the U.S. He successfully led the country through its greatest internal crisis, the American Civil War, preserving the Union and ending slavery.

If you live in Live in St. Louis, MO you will have to look for interesting things to do to have fun. So Papa, Grand Ma, Uncle Lambert, Auntie Marilyn, Asher and myself went looking Lincoln. Grand Ma has been studying about Lincoln in school so she also enlightened us on some of the facts. We only visited the Museum since it was a chilly day. Quite an enriching experience. Asher found time to make some friends as you will see from the pictures.

We are off to Maryland!!!!

I decided to get Asher involved in his first trip. We will be traveling to Maryland for Thanksgiving.

I don't know whether Asher was having fun packing his stuff. I guess he was because we are all so excited about this trip.

Shanon our neighbor came to see us before we left. she just adores Asher and he is begining to know and will smile when she comes over.

Here is Asher in his new activity center. He loves it, he woke up on Saturday morning and was excited to get on it, I think the bright colors make all the difference. He loves it, but guess what it makes a lot of noise. He is happy with it and we are all happy

We did not do much this weekend. We dropped Grandma Agnes at her computer class on Saturday and we went out to get some stuff for papa's up coming trip. Asher has been talking alot since last week, now he can say "a dah", when you repeat it, he will give you one big smile. Here is Asher getting ready to take a shower.
